We participated in the European Seafood Exposition in Brussels from 21st April to 23rd April. This is the biggest Seafood Exposition in Europe. Everyone has the fully prepared for the exposition. Highlights of the expo as follows:

+ The color of poster of King Marine is unified. We always offer free coffee, lemon tea, green tea, fruit and water when you are tired and thirsty.

+ The Exposition location of King Marine is the  

same.It is still near by the toilet, if you forget the booth number, you can find us easily as long as you remember the general location.  

+ The staffs of King Marine are dressed in unified uniform，tidy and neat with same smile.

+ We have the mascot called Chinese princess with Skipjack, it is very cute with Chinese traditional feature.

+ This exposition haven’t very more people as before because of the economy, but we will always doing the best and attend the exhibition every year.

April is the last month for catching. It is the fishing banning season In May and June in China. And the sea will open in July and August. But we only can get new fish with good quality from the end of the August, because the weather is too hot to control histamine during July and August every year. 

Tuna Zero Tariff Quotas from Asia Damaging EU Market

EU - Europêche has urged the European Commission to stop zero tariff quotas on tuna loins from South-east Asian countries.

The fisheries organisation said it believed that there are enough tuna loins originating from 

the Community fleet and from countries with duty free access to the EU, so the zero tariff quota on 22,000 tonnes of tuna loins should be eliminated.

Europêche claims there is sufficient tuna raw material from the EU fleet and from countries that have duty free access to the EU, to supply the European canning industry.
In fact, with the Spanish and French controlled fleet alone, around 700,000 tons of skipjack, yellow fin and big eye are caught annually.

The President of Europêche, Javier Garat, and his advisors explained to the Commission that there is enough supply for the processing industry not to need more benefits, to the detriment of our European producers.

The representatives of ship-owners have informed the Commission that they are forced to sell the whole frozen tuna to international markets because much of the EU processing industry can buy imported tuna from these countries.
